| Gavin Sepanik is a J.D. candidate at the University of Illinois College of Law, anticipating graduation in May 2027. Gavin received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Colorado State University in 2024. At Illinois Law, Gavin has developed a strong interest in bankruptcy law, which he has pursued both inside and outside the classroom. He has served as a Teaching Assistant for 1L Legal Writing and as a member of the Executive Board of the Bankruptcy Law Society. He spent his 1L summer with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in their Chicago office’s Restructuring Group and will be returning as a Summer Associate in 2026. In Fall 2026, Gavin will extern for the Honorable Peter W. Henderson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois. He looks forward to continuing to develop his expertise in bankruptcy and restructuring in his future career. |
